Royal Hollywood Love Song
A piano solo performance of Olga’s beloved Royal Hollywood Love Song—a piece with an extraordinary journey from Hollywood royalty to the British Royal Family. Originally composed in the majestic setting of Clark Gable’s house as a wedding gift for film producer Joel Douglas (son of legendary actor Kirk Douglas), this piece later had the honour of being played for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at her Golden Jubilee reception on behalf of Cruse Bereavement Support, a charity for which the late Queen was patron. When Prince Harry announced his engagement to Meghan Markle in 2018, Olga was inspired to rework the piece especially for them. She recorded a spectacular orchestral version at Angel Studios with the 72-piece Arts Symphonic Orchestra, conducted and arranged by Robert Emery. Released on 11 May 2018—the week before the royal wedding—the recording was sent as a gift to the couple, with all proceeds benefiting Cruse Bereavement Support and the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity. Now, in this intimate piano solo arrangement, Olga performs the piece herself, bringing its timeless romance and elegance to life on the beautiful grand piano at St Paul’s Church, Bedford.
