By My Side was released to celebrate Cruse Bereavement Care’s 60th anniversary and made headlines when it went straight to number one in the iTunes Classical chart—knocking pop royalty Ed Sheeran off the top position! The single was originally recorded at London’s The Old Hit Factory with a live orchestra, produced by Fabio D’Andrea, with lyrics by Adrian Warwick and Grahame Maclean. Joanna’s tender and pure soprano tone paired beautifully with Olga’s timeless score, creating another chart-topping success for this acclaimed duo. This was their second number one collaboration, following Royal Platinum Love Song (which also featured tenor Daniel Koek). All proceeds from By My Side went to Cruse Bereavement Care, continuing Olga’s long tradition of supporting this charity that was so dear to the late Queen, its patron.
