This particular story began in the majestic setting of Clark Gable’s house, where Olga composed it as a wedding gift for film producer Joel Douglas, son of legendary actor Kirk Douglas. The piece later had the honour of being played for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at her Golden Jubilee reception on behalf of Cruse Bereavement Support, a charity for which the late Queen was patron. When Prince Harry announced his engagement to Meghan Markle—bringing together British royalty and Hollywood glamour—Olga was inspired to rework this beloved composition especially for them. In 2018, she went into Angel Studios with the 72-piece Arts Symphonic Orchestra under the masterful direction of Robert Emery, creating a dramatic, cinematic masterpiece worthy of this historic royal-Hollywood union. Released on 11 May 2018, just eight days before the couple’s wedding on 19 May, this orchestral version showcases how a piece that began as piano composition can blossom into sweeping orchestral romance. The recording was sent as a gift to the happy couple, with all proceeds split between Cruse Bereavement Support and the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity.
